Client Policies

—Prior to their first visit, all clients are required to complete a new client packet in full
—Please arrive to your first session with your completed paperwork
—Clients are required to keep their practitioner apprised of any updates or changes to this information

The Iron Bird Way follows all current local, State of Maine and US CDC guidelines. At this time, masks in treatment are optional, unless specifically requested by your practitioner.

—All sessions must be paid in full prior to (credit card/Venmo) or at the time of service (cash/check)
—Cash, check or Venmo (@Jessica-Dafni) payments are preferred
—Gratuities will be accepted if offered, but are never expected
—A fee of $35/day will apply for payments made beyond date of treatment
—All prepaid packages expire after 6 months from first session date

—All policies apply to gift certificate purchases and scheduling
—All scheduling is subject to availability
—No refunds or exchanges are offered for gift certificates
—Transfers may be permitted when requested in writing
—Though purchased gift certificates do not expire, use within one year is requested

—When you book an appointment, we commit that time and reserve it just for you
—A 48-hour notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment without being charged for the full session amount or forfeiting a session from your prepaid package
—For appointments canceled or rescheduled with less than a 48-hour notice, the full session fee will be charged to your credit card on file or a session from your package will be forfeited
—Exceptions can be made in certain circumstances, and at the discretion of the owner, when requested in writing
—To cancel or modify your appointment, please use the link provided in your confirmation email
—Products and packages are non-returnable and non-refundable
—All prepaid packages expire after 6 months from first session date

—We cannot extend sessions beyond the scheduled time frame to accommodate late arrivals
—Should you arrive up to 30 mins late, we will provide the fullest treatment possible within the remaining allotted time
—Late arrivals of more than 30 minutes will be considered a late cancel/no show

—Please cancel your appointment as soon as you are aware of an infectious or contagious condition
—If it is within the 48-hour notice period, the cancellation fee may be waived

—Thai traditional bodywork does not require the client to undress
—Please choose clothing that is comfortable for movement and made of non-slippery fabrics
—Appropriate draping will be used for procedures that require removal of some clothing
—Please wear clothing that is appropriate for herbal applications and potential stains

—We always treat the people coming to our practice with respect and consideration
—Our goal is always to provide excellent customer service
—However, we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone at anytime for any reason
Professional Policies

—Students are expected to be present for and participate in the entire class
—Completion certificates are dependent upon satisfactory evaluation, attendance and participation in the entire class
—If you have need for special learning accommodation, please contact Jessica to discuss needs and possible arrangements before registering

—Students are expected to be sober, clean, dressed appropriately, safe and respectful of classmates and the instructor
—Any student who does not meet these expectations will be asked to leave the class and will not be refunded tuition
—The Iron Bird Way does not and shall not discriminate, nor allow discrimination to take place in classes, on the basis of race, color, religion (creed), gender, gender expression, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation or military status

—Tuition must be paid in full at the time of registration
—Tuition is non-refundable
—Cancellations received in writing more than 14 days prior to class start date will be given a credit for use toward a future class, products or other services, within one year, subject to availability
—If The Iron Bird Way must cancel or reschedule a class for reasons other than weather, enrolled students will have a choice to be refunded their paid tuition or to have their tuition applied toward a future class
—The Iron Bird Way is not responsible for monies spent in preparation for travel to and from classes
